Tuesday  June 16, 2009  Sarasota, FL

We arrived at Marina Jacks in Sarasota (who offered us a substantial discount on our slip) after our 38 mile trip which took us 7 hours and 45 minutes.

Dockmaster Triston was there to greet us and make sure we were secure.

Dane, from Sarasota's ABC 7 got right to work filming some of the unique features of the boat

Then Dane, best friend Lucinda and I went out for short cruise so his viewers could
get a sense of that silent, electric cruising is all about.

We were treated to a fabulous dinner at Marina Jack’s restaurant by our dear friend,
Lucinda Chastain who also doubled as our land taxi to the Holiday Inn - Lido.

The Holiday Inn - Lido  www.holidayinn.com/lido  was kind enough to offer us a
complimentary room at their beautiful hotel with spectacular views of Lido Beach.

Wednesday  June 17, 2009 - Sarasota to Englewood, FL

We had a great night sleep and we’re all charged up for another full day, just like our boat! Today started with a taxi ride from the Holiday Inn Lido to Marina Jacks. The friendly dockmaster, Triston, greeted us with the exciting news that he saw our TV coverage by ABC 7. We unfortunately missed the coverage since it aired at 11:03PM and by that time Jeff and I were fast asleep.

We unplug, untied and began that day’s southern journey when Fox 13 called to tell us they’ll be filming us while we pasted under the Stickney Point Bridge, in Siesta Key.

That's the Fox guy at the far left side of the bridge.
You can barely see him there but he got some great shots of us silently cruising along.
Next stop, the "DwellGreen" sustainable living house in Nokomis.
