Wednesday  June 17, 2009 - Englewood, FL

Owner, Cindy Meals and Nancy at Buchan's Landing Resort's new dock -
we were the first boat to ever moor there.

Buchan's Dockmaster, admiring our boat.

Normally we would have docked for the night in their private marina, however, as I had mentioned earlier, the owners recommended their new dock.  With a storm forecast for that night, we tied up, plug in and lowered the conversion top and all went well through the storm. I shot some very cool video of the lightening storm that evening.    www.buchans.com

We also had the pleasure of taking Steve Reilly, a reporter for Englewood’s Sun Herald for his first electric boat ride as he interviewed us for his feature story. Jeff and I look forward to reading his take on the first-ever hybrid 250 mile journey from the Tampa Bay to the Atlantic Ocean.

Thursday  June 18, 2009 - Englewood to Cabbage Key, FL

After a restful night, we get underway at about 8:40 after taking some photos with
the resort’s owner, Cindy for both Buchan’s website and ours.

Nancy at her desk enjoying the nice calm waters
as we cruised further down Lemon Bay and into Placida Harbor.

 We love places like this.

The car ferry to and from Don Pedro Island and Grove City

Then Gasparilla Sound and the north end of Charlotte Harbor. The photo below is one of many boats that have been taking pictures of us along the way, waving and giving us peace signs and thumbs up.
