These boats are the best for cruising the coast, the islands and the loop. TBBG was manufactured in 2003 and includes all the standard features. She was constructed with custom cabinetry in all cabins, a large office area and an oversized couch on the saloon. She also has curtains for all hatches and windows, SeaGul water filter, PUR watermaker, Uline Icemaker, Splendide washer dryer, 190 gallons of fresh water storage, 4X110 watt solar panels, 5.5KW Fischer Panda generator (new 2009), several extra 12V outlets, admiral’s chair, a KVH C3 satellite antenna with flatscreen TV and 12V DVD player, a Sony 8 disc CD player with cockpit remote and new Tide’s Marine shaft seals with installed spares. She has been updated with a bimini over the aft deck, full textaline sunscreens for the cockpit, cell phone antenna and amplifier, high water bilge alarms, 4 lifeline house batteries (new in 2006) 120 amps of charging capability, a Xantrex battery monitor, an in-line water heater for the starboard shower, an automatic sump pump for this shower, a new (2009) Maxwell 1500 windlass, a 73 pound Rocna, chain lock, second bow roller and cleat, a Deck to Dock carbon fiber paserelle, a side boarding ladder, 4 Aere fenders, three stainless steel flag staffs and two rail mounted outboard mounts. There are lots of boat specific spares and supplies. Also included is a Caribe Light 11 foot RIB with Mercury 2 stroke outboard (less than100 hours). The outboard has a fixed Racor filter. This package weighs less than 200 pounds and is capable of speeds of 20 knots. The Yanmar 4LHA’s (and the generator) have seen nothing but Amsoil HD synthetic oil since I purchased her. The oil is sampled regularly and these analyses are available for inspection. Amsoil diesel additive and cetane booster has been added at each fuel stop. The engines have been properly warmed each time they are started and properly cooled before shutting down. We normally cruise at 7 to 8 knots, but occasionally run on one engine at 6 knots and at 16 knots to get somewhere or more often to simply warm the oil. In the more than 8,000 miles I have seen go under her keel, she has delivered an honest 2.3NMPG and that includes idling around bridges and lock and all the fuel used in the generator. Actual running mileage is better. There may be newer models available, but none have been better maintained. I love this boat, but it is time to move on.
