The Endeavour TrawlerCat 36 is powered by two of the most reliable engines ever made, the 180 hp Yanmar turbo diesel.  These silky smooth diesels move this trawler along at well over 16 knots.

Economical cruising speed is about 8 knots.  At this speed, the 300 gallon fuel tank gives you a cruising range of around 1000 miles.  If time requires that you move more quickly, you can cruise comfortably at 15 knots while still maintaining realistic fuel economy.

Engines are located under the bunks in the aft staterooms.  Access for service is excellent.  In addition to the door in front of the engine, the whole top of the engine compartment lifts off and there is actually enough room to stand in the engine compartment while you service them.

The 4-bladed props are in a semi-tunnel to increase their efficiency and are protected from accidental grounding by a skeg attached to a mini keel.
